Networking Function - IFA Otago branch
Financial Awareness Week is run by the Institute of Financial Advisers to raise awareness of the value of getting professional advice. This year the week runs from the 15th - 19th August. Recent legislative changes have lifted the bar in terms of both professional requirements and consumer expectations - and of the value of working with financial advisory professionals. Financial Awareness Week will feature seminars designed to outline for other professionals such as lawyers and accountants the new requirements, best practice process, and how an Institute member can help you provide better service to clients.

Kiwsaver is alive and well and on its way to reaching $60 billion of invested funds. The New Zealand Government budget of 19 May announced some changes to Kiwisaver. Join us to hear about these changes and why the Government has made them. What are the implications for the wealth industry, based upon these changes?
Our speaker is Aaron Gilmore, MP,SA Fin, M Com (Hons), ACA. Aaron is a member of the Finance and Select Committee and the Government Economic team that has been undertaking these economic changes. A trained Economist with 10 years experience in various corporate roles, Aaron previously worked for multinational General Cable running new ventures across Asia. He is a Senior Associate member of Finsia.
